PRESS RELEASE, JANUARY 2025. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.
Pixel – a new shared workspace for the creative industries – will open its doors on Causewayhead this Monday, 27th January.
Built on the site of a former car park, the building comprises three floors of creative workspace for individuals and businesses of all sizes. There are shared studios for artists and makers of all disciplines through to more conventional desk space in bright, modern workspaces with enviable views of the town and harbour beyond. Prices for coworking start from just £5* p/h and shared studios from £100* p/m.
The building – designed by award-winning architects, Stride Treglown – is rated BREAAM excellent meaning it has incorporated innovative strategies to minimise its environmental impact and make it as efficient and low energy as possible.
Gavin Eddy, Founder & CEO of Forward Space, who last year won the contract to run the building, said:
“We’re very excited to be opening our doors after finishing our internal fit-out with our long-term collaborators, Shape Studio.
“We want Pixel to be a physical representation of the artistic and creative community of Penzance, which is why we’re dubbing it ‘a community of creators’. We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response so far and are so excited to see the incredible talent of Penzance take up residence in the building.”
Pixel is due to open to the public on 27th January with an introductory deal on its coworking and dedicated desks in the Design Studio – half price for the first two months. To take up the offer, simply email pixel@forwardspace.co.uk. For those wanting to try out the coworking facilities with no obligation, free trial days are available too, just visit pixelpenzance.co.uk to find out more.
