Last year, when we moved Boxworks from its original home at Temple Meads to its new neighbourhood at Brabazon, an opportunity came up that we couldn’t resist. The team behind BBC One’s Interior Design Masters approached us looking for nine unfurnished office spaces for the second episode of the new series. How could we resist?!

The nine designers took an empty, unfurnished space each and created their own unique vision for a contemporary office space that incorporated sustainable design solutions using recycled and repurposed materials.
The results were truly inspiring, with some inventive recycled materials (hello, carpet tube lighting) and often playful ways of realising how an office space can look. We know all too well that nobody wants just desks, chairs and plain walls, so it was great to see the designers create spaces for their imagined clients that really made the most out of our reimagined shipping containers. Suffice to say, each space has a personality all of its own.

You can see the spaces in the flesh over at Boxworks (some of which are even still available to rent!) and, of course, you can watch the full episode on BBC iPlayer now to see which of the designers came out on top and won Stand Out Space.
